Dr. Elanna Yalow is Chief Academic Officer of KinderCare with over 30
years of experience with the company. She supports the development of
KinderCare’s educational programs, educator professional
development, quality and accreditation initiatives, research and
evaluation, inclusion services, and public policy.
Prior to joining KinderCare, she was Associate Director of IOX
Assessment Associates, serving as Project Director for educational
assessment and health education research and development projects.
Elanna has worked extensively with global education and is widely published and has presented
extensively on issues related to education, health, assessment, and evaluation. She has
testified on Capitol Hill about the importance of quality early childhood education and
participated in White House-led initiatives. In 2020, she was appointed by the Governor of
Oregon to its Task Force on Access to Quality Affordable Child Care.
Elanna also serves on several boards and advisory committees such as Reflection Sciences,
the Education Advisory Board for K12 Inc., the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the World
Forum International Organizing Committee.
